Client Process

Step 1: Discovery

It’s all about you, our clients. The better we understand you, your goals, desires, and risk tolerance, the better we will be able to customize a portfolio that works for your lifestyle.

Through a series of meetings, we gather information on your current situation, along with your goals and objectives for the future. We look at everything from your family situation, employment projections, stock options, investment holdings, assets & liabilities, businesses, potential inheritances, risk tolerances, goals and objectives, lifestyle, estate planning, and retirement vision. Once we agree that we understand who you are and what you want to accomplish, we move on to the next phase.

Step 2: Risk Alignment

Next, we balance your desired amount of risk (Portfolio Volatility) against your goals and objectives. We ascertain your "risk number," which we use to promote a discussion on Risk versus Reward.

This discussion includes:

Liquidity

What cash and/or income you need for your current lifestyle and future goals and objectives.

Volatility

We compare your desired portfolio volatility against the returns needed to meet your goals and objectives.

We will discuss the ramifications of being "too risky" (volatility and lack of liquidity) versus "too conservative" (running out of money in retirement, or not meeting your goals and objectives). Once we agree on your portfolio risk, we'll customize a portfolio to your specific needs.

Step 3: Evolution

As we all know, life happens. Things evolve. We will continue to check in with you regularly and modify your portfolio to keep up to date with whatever changes occur - be it economic, markets, global situations, financial, family, professional, or personal, we'll work to keep up with your ever-shifting life.

We adapt your portfolio to your needs, not the other way around.
